# Negative keywords

The negative keywords are auxiliary words of language not carrying independent sense burden. Prepositions, conjunctions, interjections belong to them. As a rule, they are being removed by a search engine from the index of a page for the purpose of reduction of load on a search server and reduction of size of an index. During processing of a user request the negative keywords are also removed from the query. Each search engine typically has its own set of negative keywords. Even service sequences of characters found too often in the Internet can be assigned to the negative keywords.
